INTRODUCING JORDAN HYMAN

One of the most important things in music is diversity. If every song were penned, played and sung by one band, no matter how great, it would pale in comparison to the world's current set-up, with millions of great musical artists through time and around the globe. And just as there are millions of bands, there are billions of specific tastes, and I am not someone who can cater to even 1% of those tastes.

The Bringer of Song will take one step closer to introducing music to more and more music lovers by inviting a new author to join it: Jordan Hyman, whose name will be known by those joining us from MZP as a brilliant writer and a man of far different musical tastes than mine. However, his passions are just as strong and he has a profound connection to his music. Soon enough he will have the chance to introduce himself, but for now, consider this the official announcement!

Please welcome Jordan to the team.

- Alden

So this Jordan fellow will write on your blog, or his own? Either way, I welcome it. Hi Jordan!

What kind of genres will Jordan be covering? Or is that to be revealed :P

Hey Jordan!

Hello everyone. Much like Alden I'm quite eclectic and cover a vast array of different genres, although I come primarily from heavy and progressive metal, doom, psychedelic and the like, though I've become quite enamored with underground Hip-Hop and will be definitely bringing much that way as well. It's also a 2008 resolution of mine to get into psytrance -- although I have no clue where to begin.

Either tonight or tomorrow I'll be posting my own top of '07 which should give you a good taste of where I'm coming from.

Good acquision, if that is spelt correctly. It'll be nice to see tBOS cover a broader range of genres and music that you may not be into - and knowing Jordan's tastes, it'll be extremely interesting to peek into even more obscure musical acts.

Indeed, this also means Jordan and I will rarely (if ever) step on each other's toes. It should be fun. :)
